Kuantan Specialist Hospital (KSH) is the first private specialist hospital operated in the East Coast and also the first private hospital to achieve ISO 9002 Certification on Nursing Services and other support services in the East Coast. Kuantan Medical Centre or better known as KMC was established in late December 1996 as a community hospital that provides a comprehensive range of affordable but quality secondary medical and surgical services for adult and paediatric patients. Since it was established, over 670,000 patients have sought treatment at our specialist clinics, admitted as inpatient for medical and surgical care, or sought treatment at the Emergency Department.
Today, KMC is staffed by an experienced and committed team of specialist physicians, surgeons, anaesthesiologists, paramedics and clinical support staff; and fully equipped with modern technology to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality care and safety
We are also proud to announce that our new hospital which is currently under construction will ready to open its door by early 2014.
Strategically located in Bandar Indera Mahkota, Kuantan, the hospital will be surrounded by trees with beautiful landscape. The new centre will have 150 single rooms, five operating theatres, 12-bedded intensive care unit (ICU) / high dependency unit (HDU), 5 bedded neonates intensive care unit (NICU), 10-bedded Daycare Ward, four labour rooms, 150 dialysis treatment bays, 26 consultant clinics, a rehabilitation unit (physiotherapy) and a 24-hour Accident and Emergency department.
