Background
The faculty was established in June 1996, which awards a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. It is a five-year programme with good and comprehensive curriculum. It has so far produced good dental graduates who have good theoretical and clinical knowledge and with respectable skills and professional ethics.
The faculty has so far produced 655 graduates. Most of them are currently being employed in Ministry of Health of Malaysia and quite a number of them are in private practice. The faculty offers post-graduate specialist programme of Doctor in Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontology, Periodontology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. It shall also be starting PhD program in Dental Public Health and as well as in Oral Biology.
