Background
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia is located on the main campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia which is on the island of Penang, off the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It was established in 1972 and is the first pharmacy school in Malaysia.
The undergraduate program has undergone several intensive revisions since the early days. It is an innovative curriculum that is in line with the current trends in pharmaceutical education and the nation’s need for its pharmaceutical services. The multidisciplinary and integrated approach in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology, physiology, clinical pharmacy and social and administrative pharmacy prepare our graduates to be skilled, professional, ethical, leaders and sustainable as drug specialists of the new millennium.
