This program is structured with a comprehensive of basic bioscience subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Microbiology as well as Pharmaceutical Technology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy. The curriculum also includes elective subjects such as geriatric pharmacy, veterinary pharmacy, drug modelling, pharmacoeconomics and alternative medicine. In addition to the technical subjects, students are also required to enrol in University courses in the humanities and English. Industrial and hospital training is also an integral part of the programme.
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) programme at CUCMS is a four year course (8 semesters) that prepares students in becoming well-groomed, well-mannered pharmacists, knowledgeable in all aspects related to drugs, medicine and pharmaceutical care as well as being innovative in their related field.
The content of the courses offered in this programme aims to prepare students for different pharmaceutical fields such as hospital, community, industry, academics, research and enforcement. Besides that, students are trained in military pharmacy as well as pharmacy management in disaster and humanitarian relief situation. They are also exposed in their early years to the teamwork spirit amongst CUCMS pharmacy and medical students and building self-confidence as well as interacting through various academic and co-curricular activities such as student-centred-learning (SCL), clinical health exposure and training (CHET), Young MERCY programme and many more.
Designated hospitals under the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense will be used for training and practical attachment for CUCMS pharmacy students. In addition to that, students will be placed under a few community pharmacies and industrial pharmacies throughout their study years in CUCMS.
The Kulliyyah of Pharmacy IIUM conducts the pharmacy program with the Islamic perspective in line with the philosophy of IIUM and produces pharmacists with Islamic values in the conduct of their professional duties.

A four year Bachelor of Pharmacy [B. Pharm. (Hons)] course under semester system is offered to Malaysian undergraduates. The undergraduate programme consists of 44 core pharmacy modules under five disciplines, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Scientific Basis of Therapeutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice.
Postgraduate programmes by research leading to MSc and PhD degrees are offered to both qualified Malaysian and overseas students. The research programmes encompass various areas of pharmaceutical sciences, including medicinal chemistry, natural products chemistry, drug action, drug delivery, pharmacoenconomics, pharmacoepidemiology and evidence based pharmacotherapy related to clinical and pharmacy practice.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia has been offering a four-year pharmacy programme since 1995 under the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. In June 2008, it become a faculty with a new vigour and vision to be recognized globally as the preferred faculty and pacesetter in pharmacy education, scholarly research and service to the profession and society. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia is located on the main campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia which is on the island of Penang, off the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It was established in 1972 and is the first pharmacy school in Malaysia.
The undergraduate program has undergone several intensive revisions since the early days. It is an innovative curriculum that is in line with the current trends in pharmaceutical education and the nation’s need for its pharmaceutical services. The multidisciplinary and integrated approach in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology, physiology, clinical pharmacy and social and administrative pharmacy prepare our graduates to be skilled, professional, ethical, leaders and sustainable as drug specialists of the new millennium.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM has a rich tradition of excellence, having been established on 1st August 2001. Currently, it is offering Diploma in Pharmacy and Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honours). In addition, it also offers postgraduate program by research like Master of Science and PhD. Soon, Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM will offer a postgraduate program by coursework too. They are Master in Pharmacy (Clinical), Master in Pharmacy (Clinical Practice) and Master in Pharmacy (Medicinal Chemistry) to cater the demand.
