Hospital Jasin first opened and offered it serviced on June 9, 1890. At the time, the hospital was staffed only by one medical assistant. The purpose of the hospital then was to serve the medical needs and to control the spread of communicable diseases, which were rampant in the area, especially malaria. Malaria was then very common among the rubber estate workers, which was then the biggest industry in Jasin.
The original location of the first Hospital Jasin was opposite the current location of SMK Iskandar Shah, which overlooks the road going from Jasin town towards Kampung Kelubi.
In 1920, the British colonial government spent $50,000 to expand the hospital (Ref: Straits Settlement Import Export 1932). At that time, the hospital was staffed by 5 medical assistants and 15 nurses.
It was also during this period that a malaria outbreak occurred in Jasin where 522 rubber estate workers were infected and 11 died in the Denvon estate. To overcome this problem, the Malacca State Health Office decided to send a few doctors to the hospital to control the disease and prevent another outbreak.

Hospital Jelebu merupakan sebuah hospital kerajaan yang terletak di pekan Kuala Klawang dalam daerah Jelebu. Ia merupakan satu-satunya hospital yang ada di daerah Jelebu. Hospital ini mempunyai beberapa blok bangunan yang berasingan mengikut unit-unit yang berkenaan dimana antaranya terdiri daripada Pejabat Am, Unit Rekod, Unit Kecemasan, Unit Haemodialisys, Unit Farmasi, Unit Pathology, Unit Sucihama, Stor Integrasi termasuk wad-wad beserta asrama jururawat. Hospital Jelebu terletak berdekatan dengan Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Jelebu, Klinik Kesihatan Jelebu dan juga Sek. Men. Kebangsaan Undang Jelebu. Melalui jalan raya, perjalanan menggunakan kenderaan bermotor dari stesen komuter S’ban ke Hospital Jelebu mengambil masa lebih kurang 45 minit.

Pada awal permulaan pembukaan Hospital Kota Tinggi iaitu pada tahun 1913, hospital ini hanya mempunyai 3 wad yang menempatkan 60 buah katil untuk merawat pesakit.

Kemudian proses pembaikan dan pengubahsuaian hospital dilakukan secara berterusan pada tahun 1976 hingga 1995 untuk memenuhi keselesaan pesakit yang dirawat di hospital ini.

Pada tahun 2002, unit Hemodialisis telah ditubuhkan dengan mempunyai empat buah mesin hemodialisis dan ditambah dua mesin lagi pada tahun 2006 untuk memberikan rawatan kepada pesakit buah pinggang yang semakin bertambah di daerah Kota Tinggi.

Tahun 2004, bangunan baru 4 tingkat siap dibina bagi menempatkan wad bersalin, wad O&G, wad kanak-kanak (Wad Kenanga), wad kelas dua lelaki (Wad Tanjung Lelaki) dan wad kelas dua perempuan (Wad Tanjung Perempuan). Dan sehingga kini Hospital Kota Tinggi mempunyai 6 buah wad yang menempatkan 158 katil
